As referenced in an earlier post, I presented a request at tonight's Council Work Session that Firewheel Golf Park management be given permission to form an informal advisory group of business professionals to help with developing business plans to move toward more self-sufficiency for the Golf Park.
 
Discussion took a tad (or two) longer than I expected but a consensus was eventually reached that supported creation of the group.
 
Formation of the group and its membership will be at the discretion of golf course management but I expect it will be comprised of business professionals that are willing to share their knowledge and expertise for the betterment of the city and of Firewheel.
 
Anyone wishing to join this effort can send me an e-mail and I'll forward it to the proper parties. I have received several requests already and I'll be forwarding those immediately.
