07/10/08
The number of reported crimes for District 1 were the among the lowest for the year and the lowest of the last six months.
Overall, June often sees some rise because kids are freshly out of school and manage to find ways to get in trouble, sometimes too much so. There is little indication of such a trend as reports in every category were the same or less, except Burglary of Vehicles.
Together with the numerous outstanding successes of the Garland Police Department, all District 1 residents deserve credit for their efforts helping fight crime.
Be safety conscious at all times. Report incidents to the police immediately. Report suspicious activities or persons. The non-emergency number is (972) 485-4840. Let's work to keep our families and neighbors safe!
