It slipped past me but apparently my post below on Different Paths and Different People was the 500th post on this blog. At just barely two years old, it is a mystery as to how it has all happened.
When elected to the Council on June 17, 2006, one of my goals was to share a lot more information with the citizens than had ever been done before. I haven't succeeded to the degree I would have liked — life and all those meetings keep interfering — but I'm confident it is way more than has ever been shared before. At 500, that's about equivalent to three e-mails every four days, but without the mailbox clutter.
People often mention something they've read on this blog but I don't have a sense of how many people actually do read it. My mom. At 500, it's a pretty reliable way for her to confirm I'm still alive. Thanks for reading, Mom — I'll call soon.
My wife, Robyn, will often ask me something that was the subject of a post. It's too easy for me to say, "It's on my blog." Her attitude is why should she have to read my blog, I should just tell her. Can't argue with logic.
So, again, thanks, Mom. And thanks to those others that might stop by now and again, whether there are 5 or 500 of you out there.
