The much-anticipated Two Rows Restaurant on SH-190 opened for business this evening, near the new IHOP and the under-construction Hyatt Place Hotel. Cars and customers quickly started filling the parking lot and the restaurant. There are Two Rows restaurants in Dallas, Addison, Allen, and Houston, and each looks quite different.
 
The menu features steaks, ribs, chicken, and seafood, to sandwiches, salads, brick-oven pizza, Tex-Mex, and more — there's something for virtually any palette. A first for Garland, six microbrewery brews are available to wash it all down.
 
When entertaining, it looks to be the perfect place to take guests and family.
 
The owners have faced some unusual challenges getting this restaurant built and open. I appreciate their perseverence and know Garland will appreciate the culinary diversity, too.

	Peter Piper Pizza opened several days ago and had a grand opening celebration last week. Located in the same center as Best Buy, Petco, and Half Price Books, the restaurant serves pizza and fun. Specializing in pizza and salads, Peter Piper also seeks to entertain with an assortment of games and plenty of prizes.   What a great place for birthday parties and soccer parties. Maybe even political parties — who wouldn't vote for pizza?
	Mattress Firm is also open in the same center as Peter Piper Pizza, and next to T-Mobile. The store offers mattresses by several well-known manufacturers, such as Sealy, Simmons, Tempur-pedic, Stearns & Foster, Sleep Number, and their own brand.   Window displays promise very favorable financing as an opening special.
	Currently hiring, Firehouse Subs is not yet open. Located in the same building as Mattress Firm and T-Mobile, Firehouse Subs says it was "Founded by Firemen." There are several locations in the Metroplex.   The menu will feature several hot and cold subs, salads, and chili. I expect the subs will be great. I'll have to wait to pass judgment on the chili, though.
