In my previous post, I linked to important contact numbers on my website and the city's website. You might want to add these to your web "Favorites."
- Athas Website: http://www.douglasathas.net/contact/ (or by following the link at the bottom of most blog posts)
- City Website: http://www.ci.garland.tx.us/Home/City+Hall/Contact+Listing/CL01+Contact+List_Landing
We hope those sources are useful but if someone couldn't use his computer to access the websites, as when there is no power, the sites aren't too useful. The Neighborhood Vitality and Public Information Departments recently coordinated efforts to obtain the correct contact numbers for various city departments and other useful numbers that Garland residents might need. Colorful refrigerator magnets were made and are available for those powerless or computerless times. If you'd like one, they are available at the City Secretary's Office, on the ground floor in City Hall, 200 N Fifth St, or at the Planning Department, on the second floor of the Main Street Municipal Bldg, 800 W Main. Maps are available to both locations here. Sorry, these cannot be mailed.
However, since your computer is obviously working right now and to save yourself a trip, you can print your own list to be handy when you need it by downloading this file and printing it. You may even want to stick the print on your refrigerator!
