Petco employees are completing the final touches before opening Monday

When Petco's newest store opens in Garland on Monday, Feb 11, a dream for Manager Mark Poole will finally have come true. As the Firewheel Town Center was opening, he thought the area an excellent location for a Petco store and made the suggestion to headquarters. It didn't take long until his observation was embraced and the new store planned. However, everyone in the company expected this store to open much sooner. The continual rains of last spring may have helped the drought but they delayed construction of the building for months more than planned.
 
Located between Lowe's and Home Depot, Petco joins Best Buy and will soon have more neighbors: Half Price Books projects a Mar 27-31 Grand Opening and crews are working to complete Peter Piper Pizza.
