The Council's Community Services Committee presented a suggestion to Council of a Blue Ribbon Panel to give input on the Single-Family Rental Inspection Program. The Council concurred.
 
The Panel will consist of nine members:

• three members representing owners/landlords (two single-family, one multi-family)
• two representing owner-occupied properties
• two representing tenants, and
• two representing the real estate community

Applications are being taken through the end of October. The Application can be downloaded here (PDF format) and returned in person to the City Secretary's office, First Floor, City Hall, Downtown Garland, or faxed to her office at 972-205-2399. Please add "Blue Ribbon Panel" to list of choices at the top.
 
Panel selections will be made the first week of November.
 
Council members on the Community Services Committee are Mark Monroe (Chair), Barbara Chick, and Laura Perkins Cox. Staff liaison is Neil Montgomery.
